Set a goal and complete the challenge! Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. I was a dancer in my younger years, then became a group fitness instructor and spent tons of time at the gym. Along the way I discovered running. At first I could only run 3 miles, but within two years, I turned that 3 miles into 26.2 miles and completed my first marathon in New York City in 2013! I was thrilled and empowered. I continued to run and complete marathons, but I wanted to stretch it even further. I signed up for my first Sprint triathlon in 2015, then continued to compete in longer and longer triathlons, and within 18 months of my first tiny sprint triathlon, I was competing in my first full IRONMAN, a swim/bike/run race of 140.6 miles, nonstop, in Panama City, Florida (2016). I was hooked and continued to train and then completed my second full IRONMAN in Tempe, Arizona in 2017. I am now in the middle of training for my THIRD in Chattanooga, Tennessee this upcoming September 29, 2019.
